40+ Years of Experience
In Hajj & Umrah
leadership.
Established in 1980, Falcon Travel brings over 40 years of experience in Hajj, Umrah, and international travel services. We understand the needs of Canadian Muslim pilgrims and the practical realities of traveling to Makkah and Madinah.
Our experience goes beyond booking airline tickets and hotels. Over the decades, we have developed working relationships with travel suppliers, hotels, transportation providers, and service partners in Saudi Arabia.
We understand the difference between a package that looks attractive on paper and one that delivers a comfortable, well-organized experience.
Our philosophy is simple: never compromise quality simply to advertise the lowest price. Instead, we work to achieve the right balance between affordability, hotel location, reliable transportation, religious guidance, and personal service.
From your initial preparations in Canada to your return home, our goal is to handle the travel arrangements professionally so you can focus on your worship.
At Falcon Travel, we measure our success not only by the journeys we organize, but by the trust of our pilgrims and the du’a they make for us after returning home.
Your journey with Falcon Travel continues.
Yes. Falcon Travel operates as a TICO-registered travel agency in Ontario, with retail and wholesale travel services.
The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) regulates registered Ontario travel retailers and wholesalers under provincial legislation.
Booking through a TICO-registered agency provides important consumer protections, including regulated disclosure requirements, a complaints process, and potential eligibility for Ontario’s Travel Industry Compensation Fund under qualifying circumstances.
We encourage every Canadian pilgrim to verify a travel agency’s registration before purchasing an Umrah or Hajj package.
You can verify Falcon Travel through the official TICO Travel Agency Directory by searching for Falcon Travel and reviewing its registration status.
At Falcon Travel, transparency and accountability are part of the professional standards we aim to maintain.
The best Umrah travel agency in Canada is not necessarily the one advertising the cheapest package or making the biggest promises. The best agency is the one that provides the right combination of experience, reliable arrangements, transparent pricing, and support for your individual needs.
Before selecting an Umrah agency, consider its travel industry registration, pilgrimage experience, hotel locations, transportation arrangements, religious guidance, and customer support.
For some pilgrims, affordability is the main priority. For others, especially seniors, families, and first-time travelers, proximity to the Haram, comfortable accommodations, and experienced group leadership may be more important.
Falcon Travel has been serving Muslim travelers since 1980. Our guided Umrah packages from Canada are designed around these priorities, combining carefully selected accommodations, organized transportation, religious guidance, and on-the-ground coordination.
We do not believe that calling ourselves the best makes us the best. We believe our experience, transparency, and the quality of the journeys we organize should help you make that decision.
Choosing a reliable Umrah travel agency in Canada requires looking beyond advertisements, social media promotions, and package prices.
Before making your reservation, we recommend checking the following:
With over four decades of industry experience, Falcon Travel aims to meet these expectations through organized travel arrangements, clear communication, and experienced pilgrimage coordination.
We encourage pilgrims to compare our Umrah packages from Canada and choose the journey that best matches their needs.
Both options are available, but they offer different booking experiences.
Nusuk Umrah is an official Saudi platform supervised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. It allows eligible pilgrims to explore and book Umrah services directly through approved providers. However, because these providers operate under Saudi jurisdiction, bookings made through Nusuk do not carry the consumer protection standards or financial safeguards offered by North American regulatory bodies, such as Ontario’s TICO.
Booking through a TICO-registered Canadian travel agency, such as Falcon Travel, offers additional advantages for Canadians and Americans who prefer coordinated travel arrangements and support from a local company. This is precisely where consumer protection laws and financial safeguards shift from abstract regulations into your personal safety net.
These advantages can include:
TICO registration provides important protections, although it does not guarantee reimbursement for every cancellation or travel disruption.
Falcon Travel is particularly suitable for pilgrims who prefer a guided group experience rather than independently coordinating every part of their journey.
Our objective is to help you concentrate on performing Umrah while our team coordinates the travel arrangements included in your package.
Falcon Travel’s guided Umrah packages from Canada are designed to bring together the essential services needed for a well-organized pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah.
Our group packages generally include:
Depending on the specific package, additional inclusions may feature daily hotel breakfast, Haramain High-Speed Train transportation, Zamzam water arrangements, and gifts for pilgrims.
Every Falcon Travel Umrah package includes a detailed itinerary and an explanation of what is included and excluded, allowing you to understand your arrangements before booking.
Please review the individual package description for its exact services.
Yes. Falcon Travel’s currently advertised guided Umrah group packages include round-trip international airfare departing from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
Each package provides flight itinerary information, including scheduled departure and return dates, airline details, and the planned travel route.
This helps pilgrims arrange time away from work, coordinate family commitments, and prepare for their journey well in advance.
Travelers joining us from other Canadian provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec, and Manitoba, can use the published flight schedule to arrange their connecting travel to Toronto.
Domestic flights within Canada are generally not included unless specifically stated in the package.
We recommend reviewing the flight itinerary for your chosen departure and contacting Falcon Travel if you need assistance coordinating your arrival in Toronto.
Yes. Religious guidance is an important part of Falcon Travel’s guided Umrah group experience.
Our organized Umrah groups feature experienced Imams and Islamic scholars who help pilgrims understand the rituals of Umrah, prepare spiritually, and make the most of their time in Makkah and Madinah.
For example, our December 2026 Umrah programs feature religious guidance from Shaikh Mohamed Al-Jammali and Shaikh Riad Ouarzazi on their respective group departures.
Falcon Travel also distinguishes between two essential types of guidance:
Religious Guidance: An Imam or scholar provides instruction on performing Umrah, answers religious questions, and supports pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey.
Operational Guidance: An experienced Falcon Travel group coordinator manages practical arrangements such as transportation, hotel check-ins, room allocation, schedules, and coordination with local suppliers.
We believe both roles are essential. Your scholar helps guide your worship, while your group coordinator helps the journey run smoothly.
This combination allows pilgrims to focus on the spiritual purpose of Umrah without having to manage every logistical detail themselves.
Both independent Umrah travel and guided group packages can be rewarding. The difference is how much responsibility you want to manage yourself.
Joining a Falcon Travel guided Umrah group offers several practical advantages:
Independent travel offers more flexibility, but it also requires arranging and managing the details yourself.
With Falcon Travel, the goal is to combine the convenience of organized travel with the spiritual benefits of performing Umrah alongside a guided group.
Yes. Falcon Travel designs its guided Umrah packages with the needs of families, seniors, and first-time pilgrims in mind.
We recognize that every pilgrim has different physical abilities, travel experience, and expectations.
One of our priorities is selecting hotels conveniently located near Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and Al-Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah.
For example, our selected packages feature hotels such as Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick, opposite the Prophet’s Mosque, and Mövenpick Hajar Tower Hotel, conveniently located across of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
Our group coordinators assist with scheduled transportation and hotel arrangements, while accompanying religious guides help first-time pilgrims understand the rituals of Umrah.
Families can also discuss room arrangements and accommodation preferences with our team.
For seniors or travelers with mobility concerns, we recommend discussing specific requirements before booking so we can assess the suitability of the accommodation, transportation, and overall itinerary.
Our objective is to make Umrah as organized, comfortable, and spiritually rewarding as possible for every member of the family.
Yes. Pilgrims who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility can perform Umrah, and various accessibility services are available in Makkah and Madinah.
Depending on current arrangements and availability, assistance may include:
At Falcon Travel, we understand that mobility and accessibility are especially important for elderly pilgrims and travelers with disabilities.
Our team can help you review hotel accessibility, transportation arrangements, and available mobility services before departure.
We also encourage pilgrims requiring assistance with daily activities, boarding vehicles, or personal care to discuss their needs with us before booking, as additional arrangements or a traveling companion may be necessary.
Please contact a Falcon Travel specialist before reserving your package so we can discuss the most suitable arrangements for your circumstances.
Falcon Travel offers different room occupancy options to accommodate individual pilgrims, couples, friends, and families.
Quad Occupancy – 4 people per room
Four travelers share one hotel room. Because the room cost is shared among four people, Quad occupancy generally offers the lowest price per person.
Triple Occupancy – 3 people per room
Three travelers share one hotel room. With the cost divided among three people, the per-person price is generally higher than Quad occupancy.
Double Occupancy – 2 people per room
Two travelers share one hotel room. This option offers greater privacy and is popular with couples and travelers who prefer fewer roommates.
Single Occupancy – 1 person per room
One traveler occupies the room alone and pays the corresponding single-occupancy rate. This is generally the most expensive option per person.
Room sizes, bed configurations, and the use of additional beds depend on the hotel. A Quad room is not necessarily larger than a Double room.
Why do Umrah package prices vary?
The price difference depends on hotel rates, the travel season, accommodation availability, and the number of guests sharing a room.
Falcon Travel displays available occupancy options and corresponding package prices so pilgrims can select the arrangement that best suits their comfort and budget.
Yes. Falcon Travel can help families plan Umrah accommodations using different room occupancy types, subject to availability and booking arrangements.
For example, a family of seven travelers may prefer:
This flexibility can be especially useful for larger families, multigenerational groups, or travelers who prefer separate accommodations for men and women.
Our team can help review the available room combinations, occupancy prices, and hotel arrangements.
Some mixed-occupancy reservations may require assistance from a Falcon Travel specialist rather than a single online booking transaction.
Contact our team with your family size and preferred room configuration, and we will help determine the available booking options.
Falcon Travel understands that unexpected circumstances can affect travel plans, and we encourage every pilgrim to review the cancellation and refund conditions before confirming an Umrah reservation.
Cancellation eligibility, applicable fees, refunds, and possible traveler substitutions depend on the booking terms, the time remaining before departure, and whether airline tickets, visas, hotel reservations, or other travel services have already been issued or confirmed.
Some travel arrangements become non-refundable or cannot be transferred once processed.
If your circumstances change, please contact Falcon Travel as early as possible so our team can review the available options and any applicable supplier conditions.
Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing.
For complete details, please review Falcon Travel’s Terms and Conditions and the specific conditions provided with your booking.
Our goal is to explain the applicable conditions clearly before purchase and help you understand your available options if your plans change.
Flight delays, airline cancellations, and unexpected schedule changes can occur during international travel.
When an airline changes or cancels a flight included in your Falcon Travel Umrah package, our team assists with coordinating the available arrangements and communicating relevant updates to affected pilgrims.
Depending on the circumstances, the available options may include airline rebooking, alternative connections, changes to ground transportation, or an applicable refund under the airline’s rules and passenger rights.
Not every flight cancellation automatically entitles a traveler to a full package refund. The outcome depends on the airline’s obligations, the reason for the disruption, the services affected, and the applicable booking conditions.
If you need to change your own travel plans, please contact our team before making changes directly with an airline or hotel, as doing so may affect your group reservation or result in additional costs.
With Falcon Travel, you have an experienced travel team to contact when unexpected changes occur, rather than having to coordinate every part of the situation independently.
Yes. Eligible Muslim travelers can perform Umrah using a Saudi tourist e-Visa, provided their visit falls within the periods permitted by Saudi authorities.
Canadian and American passport holders are among the nationalities eligible for Saudi tourist e-Visas. These visas generally permit tourism, family visits, and Umrah, but not Hajj.
At Falcon Travel, we assist our pilgrims with selecting the appropriate visa category based on their nationality, travel dates, and circumstances.
When arranging your Umrah package from Canada, our specialists help ensure that the visa obtained is suitable for your intended journey.
Canadian and American passport holders have several options for entering Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, including the Saudi tourist e-Visa.
The standard Saudi tourist e-Visa is generally valid for one year, allows multiple entries, and permits stays of up to 90 days, subject to the visa’s conditions and applicable Saudi regulations.
Dedicated Umrah visas have different validity periods and entry requirements. Seasonal restrictions may also apply around the Hajj period.
Travelers residing in Canada who hold passports from other countries may still qualify for a Saudi visa through alternative eligibility routes.
Falcon Travel assists Canadian residents of different nationalities with understanding their available Saudi visa options.
Because visa regulations can change, we recommend speaking with a Falcon Travel Umrah specialist before making travel arrangements.
Yes. Falcon Travel provides Saudi visa assistance as part of the services included in our eligible Umrah group packages from Canada.
Our team reviews your passport information, determines the appropriate visa application route, and assists with the required documentation and application procedures.
We also help pilgrims understand important entry requirements, including passport validity, visa conditions, and applicable health requirements.
Once your visa is issued, we provide the relevant travel documentation and guidance to help you prepare for departure.
With Falcon Travel, you benefit from experienced visa assistance rather than having to navigate the Saudi application process entirely on your own.
Visa approval remains subject to the Saudi authorities.
Saudi Arabia has specific vaccination requirements for Umrah pilgrims, and these requirements are based on the purpose of travel, applicable health regulations, and the visa category you hold.
Travelers applying for a dedicated Umrah visa may be subject to specific vaccination and health documentation requirements including:
For Canadian and American travelers entering Saudi Arabia on a tourist e-Visa, vaccination certificates are not part of the standard e-Visa application requirements.
Other vaccinations, including hepatitis A, hepatitis B, seasonal influenza, and routine immunizations, may be recommended depending on your medical history and travel circumstances.
We recommend consulting a Canadian travel health clinic before departure.
Falcon Travel helps pilgrims understand the requirements applicable to their individual travel arrangements, including visa eligibility and any necessary documentation before departure.
The short answer is yes, under current Saudi regulations women may perform Hajj without a male Mahram. From an Islamic jurisprudence perspective, the ruling differs among the schools of thought.
Under the current regulations of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, women are permitted to travel for Hajj and Umrah without a Mahram.
However, Muslims may also wish to consider the Islamic jurisprudential ruling according to the school of thought they follow.
Hanafi School
The traditional Hanafi position generally requires a woman to travel with a Mahram, including for Hajj. Some contemporary Hanafi scholars, however, recognize exceptions under certain circumstances when appropriate safety and other conditions are present.
Maliki and Shafi’i Schools
These schools permit a woman to travel for Hajj without a Mahram when she is travelling with a trustworthy and secure group, traditionally referred to as Suhbah Aminah.
Hanbali School
The traditional Hanbali position also emphasizes travelling with a Mahram, although scholars have discussed exceptions in certain circumstances, including considerations of age, necessity, security, and travelling with a trustworthy group.
In practical terms, several recognized scholarly positions allow women to perform Hajj without a Mahram when they are travelling within a safe, trustworthy, and well-organized group.
Today, such a group may include experienced travel organizers, group leaders, qualified scholars, and support teams who provide safety, organization, assistance, and religious guidance throughout the journey.
The Hadith concerning a woman travelling without a Mahram is authentic and appears in Sahih Al-Bukhari.
Islamic scholars have carefully examined these narrations while also considering factors such as:
The great Imams devoted tremendous scholarship to understanding and conveying these rulings. May Allah (SWT) be pleased with them all. Ameen.
In certain circumstances, scholars permit a Hanafi woman to follow a recognized ruling from another school of Islamic jurisprudence concerning travel for Hajj.
Important considerations may include:
Necessity or hardship:
If the absence of a Mahram would prevent her from fulfilling her Hajj obligation altogether, scholars may consider the hardship involved.
Sincere intention:
The intention should be to fulfil the obligation of Hajj rather than simply choosing an easier ruling for convenience.
Safety and protection:
The journey should provide appropriate safety, security, supervision, and support, which reflects an important wisdom behind the Mahram requirement.
When these conditions are satisfied, there are recognized scholarly opinions that allow a woman to travel for Hajj within a trustworthy and secure group.
Because individual circumstances can differ, we always encourage pilgrims with specific religious questions to consult ONE qualified scholar they trust before making their final decision.
Hotel distances advertised in Makkah and Madinah are not always measured using the same reference point.
Some distances refer to the outer courtyard of the Holy Mosque, others to a particular entrance, and some may represent an approximate straight-line distance rather than the actual walking route.
The courtyards surrounding Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and Al-Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah include areas used for congregational prayer.
However, reaching an interior prayer hall can require additional walking, depending on the entrance used, crowd levels, security arrangements, and temporary access restrictions.
At Falcon Travel, we believe pilgrims deserve a clear understanding of their hotel’s actual location, particularly seniors, families with children, and travelers with limited mobility.
For this reason, our Umrah package descriptions include hotel names, location information, and map references so pilgrims can assess the accommodation before booking.
Yes. Falcon Travel prioritizes hotels conveniently located near the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.
Our guided Umrah packages feature carefully selected accommodations, often directly opposite the mosque courtyards or within a short walking distance.
For example, selected Falcon Travel packages include:
We understand that hotel location is one of the most important considerations during Umrah, particularly for pilgrims who wish to attend congregational prayers regularly.
Every Falcon Travel package identifies the hotels and provides location details, allowing you to verify their position before making your reservation.
Actual walking times depend on the specific mosque entrance, pedestrian routes, and crowd conditions.
Transportation between Makkah and Madinah depends on the services included in your selected Falcon Travel Umrah package.
Depending on the group itinerary, transportation may include:
The Haramain High-Speed Railway is a popular option because it significantly reduces travel time between the two cities compared with traveling by road.
Falcon Travel clearly identifies the transportation arrangements included in each package, so pilgrims can understand their itinerary before booking.
Our group coordinators also assist with departure schedules, luggage arrangements, and the practical details of traveling between the Holy Cities.
Visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah inside the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah requires a reservation through the official Nusuk app, subject to current Saudi regulations.
To request a Rawdah permit:
Rawdah appointments are free of charge, but availability is limited.
If no appointments appear, check the app again periodically, as additional slots or cancellations may become available.
Falcon Travel provides pilgrims with their issued visa details and can guide them through the Nusuk registration process.
Please remember that Rawdah access is subject to appointment availability and cannot be guaranteed as part of an Umrah package.
Ihram begins when you make the intention to perform Umrah before crossing the designated Miqat, not simply when you put on the Ihram clothing.
The correct preparation depends on your travel route.
If you visit Madinah first:
You can prepare and put on your Ihram clothing comfortably at your hotel in Madinah.
Before crossing the Miqat of Dhul-Hulayfah (Abyar Ali) on your journey to Makkah, you must make your intention for Umrah and begin the Talbiyah.
For travelers taking the Haramain High-Speed Train, it is practical to enter Ihram before boarding to avoid accidentally crossing the Miqat without the required intention.
If you travel directly to Jeddah for Makkah:
You must enter Ihram before your aircraft crosses the applicable Miqat boundary.
Men may put on their Ihram garments before boarding or during an earlier airport connection.
Do not rely on a fixed number of hours before landing, and do not assume every flight will announce the Miqat. Prepare in advance and enter Ihram before the aircraft crosses it.
Falcon Travel’s accompanying religious guides explain the Ihram process and help pilgrims prepare at the appropriate stage of their journey.
Once a pilgrim enters the state of Ihram, certain restrictions apply until the Umrah rituals are completed.
Restrictions applicable to both men and women include:
Additional restrictions for men:
Men must avoid wearing ordinary fitted garments such as shirts, trousers, and underwear, and must not cover their heads with fitted head coverings.
Additional restrictions for women:
Women wear normal modest Islamic clothing during Ihram, but must avoid wearing a fitted face veil (Niqab) or gloves. Specific rules concerning covering the face with loose fabric are discussed by scholars.
Bathing, changing Ihram garments, and using unscented hygiene products are generally permitted.
Falcon Travel’s accompanying Imam or scholar provides religious guidance to help pilgrims understand and observe the requirements of Ihram correctly.
Umrah can often be completed in approximately one to three hours, although it may take longer during busy periods or for pilgrims with limited mobility.
The four main stages of Umrah are:
The duration depends on crowd levels, walking pace, prayer breaks, and accessibility requirements.
Falcon Travel’s guided Umrah groups receive religious instruction and practical coordination to help pilgrims perform these rituals correctly and comfortably.
A woman may enter Ihram while menstruating, but the normal Islamic ruling requires her to wait until her period ends before performing Tawaf around the Kaaba.
Once she becomes pure and performs Ghusl (ritual bathing), she can complete her Umrah.
If her period begins after she has completed Tawaf but before Sa’i, she may complete Sa’i, since ritual purity is not a condition for its validity according to the recognized scholarly ruling.
What if her period will not end before she must leave Makkah?
Scholars have discussed exceptional rulings for genuine necessity when a woman cannot postpone her departure or return later. Some permit Tawaf with appropriate precautions under these circumstances, while others maintain stricter requirements.
These exceptions should not be treated as the normal ruling.
Falcon Travel recommends discussing such circumstances promptly with the group’s accompanying Imam or a trusted qualified scholar, who can advise according to the travel constraints and applicable Fiqh opinion.
Yes. Pilgrims can generally bring Zamzam water from Saudi Arabia to Canada, subject to the departure airport’s regulations and their airline’s baggage policy.
Many airlines permit one officially packaged 5-litre Zamzam container per eligible pilgrim, although some routes and handling arrangements have different limits.
At King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, official Zamzam water is available through authorized distribution points.
Before departure:
Falcon Travel group coordinators can help explain the Zamzam transportation arrangements for your particular flight.
Since policies differ by airline and airport, the final allowance should always be confirmed for your booked itinerary.
Saudi Arabia offers a wide variety of clothing, personal care products, medications, and travel essentials. However, certain personal items are best brought from Canada, particularly items that may be difficult to replace quickly.
We recommend packing the following:
Essential documents and personal items:
Religious and personal care items:
Travel convenience items:
Avoid overpacking, as many everyday necessities can be purchased locally.
Falcon Travel recommends preparing your documents, medications, and essential personal items well before departure, allowing you to focus on the spiritual purpose of your Umrah journey.
