Your Questions, Answered
Clear answers to common questions about Hajj, Nusuk and Falcon’s support services.

How do I book my Hajj package from North America?

For pilgrims who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada, the United States, European countries, or Australia, as well as those covered under the Ministry’s Direct Hajj Program, Hajj packages are selected, booked, and paid for directly through the official Nusuk Hajj platform. Falcon does not replace Nusuk; we provide guidance and support to help you navigate the process, depending on the assistance plan or service you choose.

Must I Choose Abdul Latif Jameel to use Falcon's services?

No. Our Nusuk Registration & Approval Support and Nusuk Booking Concierge can assist you regardless of which eligible Hajj service provider you ultimately choose through Nusuk.

Our complimentary Falcon Hajj Guidance plan is different: detailed package information is focused on Abdul Latif Jameel packages available to Canadian & American pilgrims, and extended religious guidance during Hajj is provided to pilgrims travelling with Abdul Latif Jameel.

Which Falcon Hajj Assistance Plan is right for me?

It depends on how much help you want.

Falcon Hajj Guidance is best for experienced pilgrims who are comfortable managing Nusuk independently. Nusuk Registration & Approval Support is designed for those who want assistance with their account, documents, registration, and approval. Nusuk Booking Concierge provides the most comprehensive support, including Hajj package comparison, eWallet guidance, booking preparation, purchase alerts, and assistance during the purchasing phase.

You can also purchase any of our Specialized Hajj Services independently if you only need help with one specific part of the process.

How much does Hajj cost from Canada or the USA?

Before the official Hajj packages are released, it is not possible to know the exact cost of Hajj.

The final price depends on several factors, including:

  • Whether the package is Shifting or Non-Shifting
  • The category and quality of the hotels
  • How close the hotels are to the Haramain
  • The type and location of the Mina camp
  • Transportation and services provided during Hajj
  • Airline ticket prices
  • The overall duration of the package

As a general estimate, a good Hajj package from Canada or the United States will typically cost approximately USD $10,000 to $20,000 per person, depending on the package and services selected.

Once the official packages are released, Falcon Travel will provide detailed information to help you understand the options and choose the package that best suits your needs.

When should I register for Hajj?

We recommend registering your interest with Falcon Travel as early as possible. This allows you to receive important Hajj updates, announcements, deadlines, and guidance as they become available.

Preparation is extremely important. The more prepared you are, with your documents, registration, approvals, payment readiness, and understanding of the booking process—the better positioned you will be when Hajj packages become available.

At the same time, we always remember that Hajj is more than a journey or a reservation. It is an invitation from Allah (SWT) granted to a limited number of Muslims each year.

Prepare yourself, take the necessary steps, and place your trust in Allah.

How long are the Hajj packages?

The length of a Hajj package can vary depending on the program you choose.

A typical Hajj package is approximately 10 days to two weeks, while some longer programs may extend to approximately three weeks, although these are less commonly available.

Most Hajj programs generally begin around the 1st of Dhul Hijjah and conclude around the 13th or 14th of Dhul Hijjah.

Because the Islamic calendar changes in relation to the Gregorian calendar each year, we recommend checking our Hijri Calendar to see when Dhul Hijjah falls during your travel year.

This will help you estimate the corresponding Gregorian dates and plan your vacation, work leave, and time away from home accordingly.

Is Hajj Guaranteed Through Nusuk or Falcon?

No. Creating an account or registering on Nusuk does not guarantee that you will secure a Hajj package. Nusuk confirms that registration itself is not a Hajj acceptance or booking confirmation; package selection and payment take place later in the process.

Falcon’s services are designed to help you prepare properly, understand your options, and navigate the process, but we cannot guarantee Nusuk approval, package availability, or a successful booking.

Can Falcon help me if I already started the Nusuk process myself?

Yes. You do not have to purchase a complete assistance plan.

If you have already created your Nusuk account and encounter errors, rejected information, document problems, or another unresolved issue, you can use our Nusuk Account Rescue service. You can also book a Private Hajj Consultation or purchase other specialized services individually depending on what you need.

Can Falcon help me compare Hajj packages with different providers?

Yes. With our Nusuk Booking Concierge and Personalized Hajj Package Comparison service, Falcon can help you evaluate suitable Hajj packages across eligible service providers—not only Abdul Latif Jameel.

We can compare factors such as price, hotels, flights, trip duration, Mashair services, and overall package configuration based on your priorities and requirements. Nusuk itself offers packages from authorized service providers with different service levels, accommodations, durations, and configurations.

These are the six I would put on the page. They cover the biggest points of confusion: where booking happens, ALJ vs. other providers, which plan to choose, guarantees, partial assistance, and package comparison.

What passport, visa, and vaccination requirements do I need for Hajj?

Preparing your documents early can make the Hajj registration process much smoother.

You should have a professional Canadian passport-style photograph taken at a photo studio and request a high-quality digital copy that can be uploaded when required.

Your passport should also be valid for at least six months from the period of Dhul Hijjah. You can use our Hijri Calendar to determine when Dhul Hijjah falls in the Gregorian calendar and confirm that your passport has sufficient validity.

Hajj pilgrims are also required to receive the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine (ACYW-135). The vaccine may be available under different brand names depending on the country.

Because vaccination and entry requirements can change, always follow the official requirements applicable to your Hajj year. Falcon Travel will also keep registered pilgrims informed about the required documents and health requirements throughout the process.

How do I choose a good Hajj package?

Choosing a Hajj package is only part of the decision.

It is relatively easy to research the Saudi service provider, look at hotel locations, compare prices, read reviews, and understand the accommodation being offered. Many of the core services provided inside Saudi Arabia are also structured within the official Hajj system.

The greater difference often comes down to one question:

Who will be guiding and supporting you throughout your Hajj journey?

For us, the answer comes down to three words:

Experience. Experience. Experience.

Hajj is a beautiful journey, but it is also extremely fast-paced. Millions of pilgrims are moving between locations within very limited periods of time, and unexpected situations can arise with transportation, accommodation, schedules, luggage, camps, documentation, communication, and many other areas.

This is when an experienced Hajj guidance team becomes invaluable.

Many organizations describe themselves as experienced Hajj organizers, but genuine experience is built over decades of personally serving Hujjaj and solving real problems on the ground.

Among the small number of established North American Hajj organizations with this level of experience, Falcon Travel is proud to be among the leading names.

What should you look for in a Hajj guidance team?

  • Decades of Hajj and Umrah experience
  • A strong history of organizing Hajj before the introduction of the current Nusuk system
  • Leaders who understand the language, culture, and needs of pilgrims from their home country
  • Established relationships and experience within the Hajj industry
  • Qualified religious guidance
  • A team that knows how to respond when unexpected situations arise

Falcon Travel has been serving Muslim travellers for more than 40 years.

Experience cannot prevent every challenge. Some circumstances during Hajj are beyond anyone’s control. However, an experienced team can anticipate many common problems, respond quickly, communicate effectively, and help make an already demanding journey significantly smoother.

During Hajj, you do not simply want someone who knows the itinerary.

You want someone who has been there before, faced the challenges before, and knows what to do when you need them most.

Can women perform Hajj without a Mahram?

The short answer is yes, under current Saudi regulations women may perform Hajj without a male Mahram. From an Islamic jurisprudence perspective, the ruling differs among the schools of thought.

Current Saudi Hajj Regulations

Under the current regulations of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, women are permitted to travel for Hajj and Umrah without a Mahram.

However, Muslims may also wish to consider the Islamic jurisprudential ruling according to the school of thought they follow.

What do the four schools of Islamic jurisprudence say?

Hanafi School

The traditional Hanafi position generally requires a woman to travel with a Mahram, including for Hajj. Some contemporary Hanafi scholars, however, recognize exceptions under certain circumstances when appropriate safety and other conditions are present.

Maliki and Shafi’i Schools

These schools permit a woman to travel for Hajj without a Mahram when she is travelling with a trustworthy and secure group, traditionally referred to as Suhbah Aminah.

Hanbali School

The traditional Hanbali position also emphasizes travelling with a Mahram, although scholars have discussed exceptions in certain circumstances, including considerations of age, necessity, security, and travelling with a trustworthy group.

In practical terms, several recognized scholarly positions allow women to perform Hajj without a Mahram when they are travelling within a safe, trustworthy, and well-organized group.

Today, such a group may include experienced travel organizers, group leaders, qualified scholars, and support teams who provide safety, organization, assistance, and religious guidance throughout the journey.

Understanding the Hadith concerning women travelling:

The Hadith concerning a woman travelling without a Mahram is authentic and appears in Sahih Al-Bukhari.

Islamic scholars have carefully examined these narrations while also considering factors such as:

  1. The purpose and circumstances of the journey
  2. The obligatory nature of Hajj for Muslims who are able to perform it
  3. Situations in which a Mahram may not be available
  4. The woman’s age and circumstances
  5. The safety and security of the journey
  6. Whether she is travelling with a trustworthy group

The great Imams devoted tremendous scholarship to understanding and conveying these rulings. May Allah (SWT) be pleased with them all. Ameen.

Can a Hanafi woman follow another recognized opinion in order to perform Hajj?

In certain circumstances, scholars permit a Hanafi woman to follow a recognized ruling from another school of Islamic jurisprudence concerning travel for Hajj.

Important considerations may include:

Necessity or hardship:
If the absence of a Mahram would prevent her from fulfilling her Hajj obligation altogether, scholars may consider the hardship involved.

Sincere intention:
The intention should be to fulfil the obligation of Hajj rather than simply choosing an easier ruling for convenience.

Safety and protection:
The journey should provide appropriate safety, security, supervision, and support, which reflects an important wisdom behind the Mahram requirement.

When these conditions are satisfied, there are recognized scholarly opinions that allow a woman to travel for Hajj within a trustworthy and secure group.

Because individual circumstances can differ, we always encourage pilgrims with specific religious questions to consult ONE qualified scholar they trust before making their final decision.
