Shaikh Riad Ouarzazi is a passionate and dynamic Islamic scholar, often referred to as the “heart doctor” by his students for his profound and heartfelt teachings. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, he earned his Islamic education degrees from M. Abdullah University before moving to the United States in 1988, where he pursued a Bachelor’s in International Management and a Master’s in Computer Information Systems. He studied Aqeedah under Shaykh Waleed Basyouni and Fiqh under Shaykh Waleed Idrees and holds certificates in personal development, business management, and coaching.
In 2001, Shaikh Riad moved to Canada, becoming actively involved in Islamic work. He has delivered lectures and khutbas in various masajid across the Greater Toronto Area and currently serves as the Director of Religious Affairs at Al Falah Islamic Center in Oakville, under ICNA Canada. His teaching methodology is notable for its accessibility and appeal, catering to students of all backgrounds.
Since 1991, Shaikh Riad has collaborated with numerous organizations, including Al Maghrib Institute Canada. He holds a Sharia’a degree from Abdullah University in Casablanca and is a member of the Canadian Council of Imams, contributing to the unity and support of Canadian Imams and Chaplains.
